WELCOME TO COONTAIL FARM
The 193 acres that make up Coontail Farm have been in the Watkins family for 4 generations. This land is managed for a successful, sustainable mix of timber production, wildlife habitat, and educational purposes. While the property must be self-sustaining and provide some income to the family, they also like to enjoy outdoor recreation, such as hunting and fishing.

Helping other landowners learn about forest and wildlife habitat management by using Coontail Farm as a demonstration site is also important to the owners. They would like to see more Mississippi families be able to retain their property and hand it down through generations.
